Where do you currently live?

I live in Redondo Beach on the border of Hermosa and Redondo

What’s your favorite local spot to surf?

My favorite local surf spot is probably the Manhattan pier.

Favorite place to surf?

Anywhere there is surf, but mostly the South Bay.

Favorite trick?

Probably a re-entry on a barrel coming at me frontside, kinda like a lip line floater. Feeling weightless to landing in the flats. 

What’s your favorite board?

My Favorite board is a board Jose made me, its magic.

Who are your sponsors?

What type of music do you listen to?

I listen to Rock and some EDM

What are your favorite TV shows / movies?

My favorite tv show is probably the Simpsons, its just a classic, and my favorite movie is Happy Gilmore.

How did you get started surfing?

I started out as a bodyboarder and my brother was a avid sponger so thats how I got me sea legs, but then in high school me and a friend swapped boards then I started surfing ever since.

What are some of your other (non-surfing) hobbies?

I enjoy drawing and hanging out at the beach all day. 

What was your first board?

My first surfboard was a Tuttle — a shaper in San Clemente.

What was your first car?

My First car was a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder.

Who is your favorite pro?

I have a few favorite surfers — Craig Anderson or Dane Reynolds. They are both so creative and the reason they are so sick is because its not a cookie-cutter style surfing — they do things that blow your mind. 

If you could go surfing with one person...it would be ________?

Definitely Craig Anderson.

If you could go surfing anywhere it would be ____________?

I want to surf Mentawai Islands.

What was your first surf trip?

My first surf trip was down to Mexico in Ensenada. 

What is your favorite competition?

My favorite comp is probably Pipe Masters. Watching the pros come out of waves you think aren’t make-able Is insane. 

Scariest moment in the water?

The scariest moment was when a wave picked me up and slammed me into the pylon at Manhattan Pier. I ended up tearing my liver open by the impact and having to stay in the hospital for five plus days.

What was your most embarrassing moment?

I don’t know if I have one, I’m pretty free and I don’t think anything gets under my skin like that.
